Sport & Recreation

Coomera Springs is active living at its best. It lies a the heart of a region rich in sports, leisure and recreation opportunities. Beaches, boating and fishing are naturally all close at hand, as are the magnificent mountains and National Parks of our hinterland.

There are several championship golf courses nearby at Gainsorough Greens, Sanctuary Cove, Hope Island,Helensvale and the Gold Coast Country Club. Local swimming and aquatic centres, gyms, football clubs, boat launching facilities abound. And, of course, there is the excitement of world renowned theme parks, Dreamworld, Movieworld and Wet'n'Wild.

The growth of Coomera means residents can look forward to ever-expanding leisure choices. Gold Coast City Council, for example, has set aside major funding allocations to buy key sites for sport and recreation in the Coomera growth corridor.

One such facility will be the Coomera regional Aquatic Centre, proposed to include indoor and outdoor pools for recreation, training and hydrotherapy, play areas, a gym, cafe, crèche and health and meeting facilities. A site is being sought in the Coomera Town precinct.

Further, Coomera Town Centre is planned to include a regional community centre, library and privately developed facilities such as a bowling alley, cinemas and entertainment venues. For easy reference, download our Sports & Recreation Fact Sheet.
